Chloroquine Phosphate is a 4 aminoquinoline drug that is used in the treatment and prevention of Malaria. The drug was originally discovered by Hans Andersag in the year 1934 and his co-workers at the Bayer’s laboratory. The drug was named as Resochin for the first time; the drug was ignored for more than a decade for its toxicity and adverse effects. Only during the World War II it was approved by the government of US and the drug has been into clinical practice from the year 1947.
